Sr Software Engineer - Algorithms
You should have:
- Passion for Big Data - large scale data mining and analysis
- Research bent - keeping up with relevant work and research
- Production orientation - to build, test and deliver live systems
- Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning
- Proficiency in Perl/Python/Java and R, preferably on UNIX
- 10+ years experience, with an MS/PhD in Computer Science
You might have:
- Java middleware and Web application experience
- SQL (preferably MySQL) or NoSQL experience
- Hadoop Map/Reduce, HDFS, Hive/Pig experience
- History of side projects and open-source contributions
- Ability to work on all layers of the software stack
